CO2 Refurbishing Facilities
Our Carbon Dioxide fire extinguisher refurbishing facilitiy is based in Nottingham, UK. From collection to delivery on our own vans, Jewel Saffire Products Ltd offer you a great refurbishing service at a competitive price. We follow a 21-step quality control procedure to provide you with the best refurbs in the country. Please note: A rebate is given for each cylinder (with a parallel thread) that is returned to our facility.
The procedure:
- Discharge of CO2 gas
- Remove valve and headcap
- Inspect cylinder neck heads
- Prepare cylinders for refurbishing
- Visually check cylinder
- Pressure test cylinder to 250 bar
- Externally prepare cylinder
- Remove any paint remaining
- Internally dry cylinder
- Check cylinder & weight
- Stamp cylinder with date
- Record details to BS5430 Part 3
- Paint cylinder using powder coating
- Palletise and forward to CO2 department
- Assemble CO2 valve assembly
- Fit valve assembly
- Apply label to cylinder
- Fill cylinder with CO2 gas
- 24 hour quality control check
- Carefully package each cylinder
- Forward to stores for storage & despatch
We deliver using our own vehicles in double quick time and as mentioned above, we offer a rebate on empty aluminium CO2 cylinders returned to us that have a parallel thread.
